objective: assemble a functional testing fixture for a consumer device

During my internship at Function Engineering in Palo Alto, I contributed to completing a testing fixture for a consumer device. As issues with the design arose during the assembly of the mechanics and electronics, I worked with my advisor to resolve them within the constraints of the assignment. I redesigned the CAM path alignment, size, and angles to better suit its purpose. I also improved the opening and closing mechanism of the fixture. My design solutions were delivered in the form of a finished, final product to our client.
