Stanford Pandemic Influenza Team

objective: create solutions for dealing with the next influenza pandemic

The Stanford Pandemic Influenza Team was a great opportunity to integrate my design thinking and problem solving skills to create innovative solutions for an important contemporary issue. We collaborated with the Red Cross, Center for Disease Control, and Santa Clara County Public Health Department to create effective solutions for dealing with the next influenza pandemic, including a plan for community resiliency through schools, a hotline, and a homepage.

Along with a flexible and rigorous design process, this project involved extensive communication between peers, coaches, advisors, and government organizations.

Our work achieved national recognition and continues to progress. Past presentations, reports, and press can be found at sie-panflu.stanford.edu.
