This improved ladle that easily grasps pasta, strains foods, and also carries liquids in just one scoop. To settle on this idea of a strainer ladle, I brainstormed, researched, and weighed the benefits of my different ideas. After selecting which concept to pursue, I proceeded to discuss my manufacturing plan with peers and advisors and created a CAD model. I then machined my piece using a lathe and a dividing head on a mill. My final strainer ladle effectively performs all three of its intended functions: grabbing, straining, and scooping. |
